I'm very excited to announce that I will be flying to Korea next week to play at the Dae-Gu International Jazz Festival. My old friend Jangeun Bae has invited me to play with her new band Eastern Sky.
We will also have a few days in the studio to record some of the music while we're there. Look forward to some new recordings soon....
Jangeun is a great pianist with a lot of cool stuff going on. Check her out by following the link there.......

Mike League is relentless!!! I'm not complaining. I'll be out with the Pups again from March 23-April 27. The last week of that month we'll be in the studio to record the third SP record. I'm really glad to be a part of it.
We'll be sharing some nights with Oso Closo, Rudder, the Chris Tarry Group and Zach Brock among other great bands.

I'll be out on the road with Snarky Puppy from Jan 15-26. Many of the dates will be a double bill with Ari Hoenig's Punk Bop and a couple are with the NY super group Rudder. I'm really looking forward to hearing those guys play over the course of a few weeks. So, come out and see me with the Pup if you're in the area. Hey everyone!
I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still alive. I have not posted anything on the site in a while because I've been working on a bunch of new projects. That's code for: being totally anti-social and hiding in my room, writing music. The upside is I will have music to share next year. I'll keep you posted.

I made it back from Canada!
My time there was amazing! I learned so much and met so many great musicians. There are some recordings I made while I was there on the Sounds page. Pictures are coming soon.
05.22.06 | Banff Workshop
From May 22 to June 10 I will participate in the Banff International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music. I'm looking forward to studying with the likes of Dave Douglas, Greg Osby, Donny McCaslin, Uri Caine, James Genus, Adam Benjamin and many other influential musicians! It should be a great time.
